Why Giving Is Important

On Tuesday November 29, 2022 we celebrated Giving Tuesday. It was created to inspire people to give, collaborate, and celebrated generosity. But why wait till the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to be generous? Certainly there are other times of the year, if not daily, that we can show our generosity. If there are multiple opportunities to give, the only other question is why SHOULD we give?

A quick Google search on why giving is important will tell you that its good for your health, it promotes social connection, it’s contagious, and a myriad of other things. While all these things may be true, I would like to tell you why giving is important to me. I’ve been blessed. And giving back is my way of sharing my blessings with the less fortunate. If I can help one kid realize their goal of becoming educated in music theory and production, then my purpose has been fulfilled.
